Election Results 2021

THE Liverpool City Region proved to be success for Labour in the latest elections, as Emily Spurrell was comfortably elected as the new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Merseyside. Also, Steve Rotheram was re-elected for a 2nd term as Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region. The Mayor of Liverpool, was also retained by Labour, with Joanne Anderson being elected. This news also hit the headlines all around the World, as Liverpool has elected its 1st black female mayor, and the 1st woman to lead the City. Plus, for the very 1st time, Birkdale now has a Labour Councillor, knocking out the LibDems in a very close fight. These are the full list of those elected within the Liverpool City Region's Local Council Elections:-

Following the vote, held on 6 May 2021, the following candidates have been duly elected by the constituents of Sefton Council, at the Count, on 7 May 2021,

Elected - Ainsdale - Lynne Thompson, standing for the Liberal Democrats - Votes = 1807 - 45%.
