MY Darling Clementine from Birmingham are celebrating 10 years of fantastic live performances and touring the world, they've supported many stellar names in Country and Americana and are soon to release a CD of songs by Scottish legend Jackie Levin who was a friend who died a few years ago, they've also played with T Bone Burnett and are regulars at Americana Festivals.

They are built around husband and wife Michael and Lou King, they often have their daughter play with them and feature Danish guitarist Preben Raunsbjerg who is sublime and just blends into the music and background with ease.

Thier own songs are brilliant bittersweet laments on life, a superb reworking of Tammy Wynette's Stand by your man retold with acerbic wit and much better morals. Thier homages to John Prine and Gram Parsons are delights. Thier selection of less popular Elvis Costello tracks reworked for 2 voices are just mesmerising too.

CLA responds to new project to plant extensive new woodlands along riverbanks

COMMENTING on the announcement, CLA President Mark Bridgeman said:- "This new woodland creation partnership is a real boost for the sector. It will enable private landowners to work alongside institutional landowners to plant more trees in the 6 river catchments which, if planted in the right place, will help reduce water pollution, address flood risk and boost nature recovery. It's schemes like this which are key to achieving biodiversity recovery."
