Breaking! Santa has been spotted around Liverpool...

SANTA has been spotted around Liverpool, with just under 100 sleeps until Christmas and not an elf in sight, but he's not his usual busy self. He was sleeping! We are told that residents across the City were surprised to see Santa resting by the City's landmarks wearing a sign saying:- "Wake me up on 24 September 2020!"

Santa's early wake up call comes as the Sony Movies Christmas pop up TV channel launches, on 24 September with new Yuletide premieres and indulgent festive TV movie treats to get everyone in the holiday spirit from September 2020 to January 2021.

Local home care company celebrates 'decades' of caring

LOCAL home care company, Home Instead Senior Care Southport and Formby, has been rewarding its caregivers who have been caring for elderly people in the local community for ten years or more. The team at Home Instead has been hosting:- 'Long Service' award ceremonies for some time, celebrating those members of staff who have been with them for over a decade. This year they are recognising:- 'Long Service' awards for many members of staff: Caregivers Fiona, Claire and Geraldine, and Head of Client Experience, Charlotte, have all been members of the team now for 10 years. Other 'Long Service' team members include:- Registered Care Manager, Leanne, who has worked with the team for 13 years, Assistant Care Manager, Liz, and Caregivers Janet and Sam, who have all worked with the team for 11 years.

Long serving members of staff were presented with gifts at a small, socially distanced celebration, recognising the time, effort and dedication to their work for the home care company. Caregiver Fiona commented:- "I love my job. I feel a real connection to the clients I care for, and I get to know them well they become friends rather than clients. Home Instead is a wonderful place to work, I feel supported and appreciated and can't wait to work here for another ten years!"

Co-owner of Home Instead, Irene Hough commented:- "We are so pleased to be able to celebrate our long serving members of staff. They maintain the high standards of our reputation for home-care services to elderly people throughout Southport and Formby. Our caregivers really do care about the clients we support; they feel their sorrow, their joy, and embrace the desire to make a difference in someone else's life.
