Southport restaurant inspired by Marcus Rashford to offer free meals to children this ½ Term

A local restaurant in Southport is offering a free meal to any child who needs it this October ½ Term. La Tabella, on Botanic Road in Churchtown Village, has been inspired by Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford to step forward and help the local community. For more details please call:- 01704212400 or call in.

Owners Rob and Liza Smallman said:- "We decided to offer the free meals for children as we are obviously aware of all the work Marcus Rashford and many others are doing and we wanted to do something to help our local community. We are offering free pasta dishes which are freshly cooked and full of healthy ingredients which can be warmed up at home to any children who need them during the October ½ term holiday. We would like anyone to either message or call us so we can sort their meals for them. Also we are encouraging people to nominate anyone they feel would appreciate the meals, but may be too shy to come forward themselves. Although things are really hard for the Hospitality industry at the moment and we are struggling like never before we felt we still needed to put it into perspective and we couldn't sit back and let children in our local area go hungry. Rob, Liza, Dan and the whole team at Tabella are behind this 100% and we all hope we can make a little difference to the lives of our neighbours."

Kids Eat For Free At Marco Pierre White's Liverpool Restaurant This ½ Term

BELEAGUERED parents looking for ideas to keep the children busy during the ½ Term holidays can head to the Marco Pierre White restaurant which is located at Hotel Indigo, on Chapel Street, Liverpool, where they can feed the kids for free. Available at the Steakhouse Bar and Grill throughout ½ Term, anyone who fancies tucking into a meal that's been devised by arguably the country's greatest ever chef, will be able to do so without worrying about the cost of their child's meal. But, we are told that the offer only applies to under 12's and includes either a starter and main or main and dessert with every paying adult main off the ŕ la carte menu. Ben Morcombe, general manager said:- "We all need a little escapism, especially at the moment, and the opportunity to pop out for a meal with your family is a great way to do just that. For mums and dads, the chance to let someone else do the cooking as well as the clearing and washing up will be quite appealing while kids just love being taken out for a 'grown up' meal. And constantly finding things to do and entertain the kids throughout the ½ Term holidays can be quite an expensive exercise which is why we've put this offer in place. Of course, the health and safety of both our guests and staff is the number 1 priority and is why we have in place measures which goes above and beyond Government guidelines such as using menus that are single use so none are used twice. There are numerous hand sanitiser stations throughout the restaurant and the team is well briefed on the new operational procedures. We're operating table service only, and because we are able to space the tables out, means social distancing measures are strictly adhered to. Marco's philosophy on eating out is about simple, authentic food, served in a great environment with a relaxed atmosphere. We serve classic, recognisable dishes that sit perfectly with his ethos of casual, authentic and affordable dining. The menus are also perfect for kids, so parents won't have to worry about there not being anything that they like. Whether it's pasta, fish and chips and steaks we're expecting to see a lot of happy faces during the holidays."
