Captain Sir Tom Moore is being installed on a building in Southport!

THIS mural on Charlotte House, on Hoghton Street, in Southport's Town Centre, has already hit the North West local TV news programs. The mural is the UK's biggest ever painting of Captain Sir Tom Moore and was commissioned by Mark Cunningham, owner of AJ Estates, Southport. It has been painted by Rob Newbiggin, who is a former professional boxer and is also behind many other works, including:- Eric Morecambe and Dame Vera Lynn. The 2nd mural that has also been commissioned features NHS heroes. The murals will be in Southport for 6 months before being auctioned off to raise money for the NHS. A spokesperson for Anthony James Sales and Lettings said:- "We are so excited this is finally happening! The 24ft high, artwork, that is being installed on our office building, was commissioned by the boss Mark James Cunningham. They have taken artist Rob Newbiggin months to create on separate boards at his home. To take a look pop down to see us at Charlotte House on Hoghton Street! A 2nd mural, featuring some of the NHS heroes who cared for patients during the Covid19 Pandemic, is coming soon!"
