Error in reporting UK
Covid19 statistics...
THIS week we have been informed
that issue was identified overnight, on Friday, 2 October 2020, in the way both
Public Health England and NHSX have automated and processed that transfers of
positive cases data to PHE data base. According to Public Health England, this
issue has now been resolved. But, it now means the numbers of cases publish date
for 3 October and 4 October 2020 included 15,841 additional cases, with specimen
dates between 25 September and 2 October 2020, and they are therefore
artificially high for England and the UK. This brings into question how much
faith we can have in the reporting system and again goes to undermine confidence
in both the media and Government, when reporting of the issues we face, when
dealing with this virus. Plus, we are also hearing increasing reports that
people are struggling to get tests within the Liverpool City Region, we some
reports that people are being sent to Balton and even Birmingham. This along
with reports of people being sent to Scotland and the South Coast, last week
make for very worrying reading. What are your thoughts on this issue? Email your

about this topic and also if please do let us know if you have been told
to travel outside the Region for a test...
Covid19 Vaccine is not a
quick fix
THE idea a Vaccine will solve the effects of the
Pandemic has become widely seen as a solution or a quick fix, but realistically
it will take far longer than people realise, to get back to normality. If a
vaccine is found, most health experts say that more than likely take at lease a
year for the vaccine to be distributed to the UK population in a best case
scenario. Also a report published by the Royal Society calls for media and
politicians to be "realistic" and "couscous" about saying what could be achieved
and when or even if a vaccine is rolled out.

Daily reported
Covid19 deaths are now measured across the UK as deaths that
occurred within 28 days of the 1st laboratory confirmed
positive Covid19 test. Daily and cumulative
numbers of COVID19 patients admitted to Hospital. Data are
not updated every day by all 4 nations and the figures are
not comparable as Wales include suspected COVID19 patients
while the other nations include only confirmed cases.
