Meols Hall Parties in Style
Photographs By Patrick Trollope

MEOLS Hall in Southport was taken over by a Halloween extra Anza on 31 October and then the next day with a massive firework display that light up the sky for miles around.

The events included ice skating, via a portable ice rink, that was erected in the historic courtyard of the Tide Barn. On the massive field by the manor house was a huge fair, with rides suitable for all ages and side stalls that sold every think from donuts to candy floss and toffee apples. During the Halloween party St Johns joined in with the fun with a few members dressing up in costumes. The Southport Rotary Club was out in force as well, manning the gates and helping to run the event.

On the Saturday as well as the massive firework display, the show also had the biggest bonfire in Sefton.  The heat was so intense that the crowds warmed them selves up from a long distance away as the massive flames that rose into the cold night.

Sandgrinder Promotions said:- "This has been the best event we have put on yet.  We aim to make it better still next year!"
