THE SOUTHPORT school on the 18 November had a visit from the Crag Rats who were giving information about career opportunities available to pupils after they leave school. Performing in front of an audience of 15 - 16 year olds the team preformed a play that acted out the ideas some students have about career lesions and they reinforce the idea that if you bunk off, you miss out on what is one of the most important aspects of your life. The play was designed to make it clear that students should look into what paths are open to them before they come to the end of their school life. They opened up with dance and funny lines that made the audience of soon to be school leavers take note that there are lots of ways to get jobs and just how important it is to discuss the opportunities with teachers and career advisers. One pupil said “I think they are fantastic! It makes a change to see a group of people actually having a laugh about careers as opposed to having it drummed into us. That help us to take a note as to now important it is to attend the careers lesions.” Deputy Head Master Andy Colton said
“It was a fantastic show and I hope the students got a lot out of it.”
