ONEOF the biggest multi-faith choirs broke into song earlier this week as the Faith in One City celebrations gathered a 250-strong multi-faith choir from of all ages raising the roof of the Anglican Cathedral of Liverpool.
The 'Faith in One City' choir, made up of schoolchildren, faith groups and community organisations sang songs specially commissioned for Faith in One City, celebrating the harmony which exists between the city's diverse groups.
Faith in One City Co-ordinator, Wally Brown said:- "The universal language of music unites us all. It is a powerful and far-reaching way of spreading messages of peace, love and understanding.
Our multi-faith choir is a real symbol of the World in One City in harmony."
The project has reached out to schools, faith venues and community groups throughout the city, to set up the city's biggest multi-faith choir.
Working with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the 'Music and Harmony' project arranged special workshops and brought communities together to explore life in Liverpool through song.
