Kung Hei Fat Choy 4207

ON the 22 of January we said Kung Hei Fat Choy (Happy New Year). For the UK on 24 of January it was not an important day, but for the Chinese it was, as it was the end of the new year celebrations. It is now year 4207 the year of the Monkey. If you were born in any of the Years of the Monkey, and you go by the Chinese astrology, you are meant to be very intelligent, well liked by everyone, and will have success in any field you choose; so lucky old you!

Famous people born in the Year Of The Monkey:- Sacha Distel, Elisabeth Taylor, Omar Sherif, Jimmy Page, Roger Daltrey and George Lucas.  We can not forget a nation was also formed in the year of the Monkey in 1776, that was America. It might explain alot....

According to tradition the Year of the Monkey is supposed to be lively, interesting, but perhaps troublesome, in keeping with the Monkey's nature. The lucky imp of a Monkey who rules this year will urge us to gamble, speculate and exploit risky, but ingenious options. If you are quick on the draw, this year will yield huge dividends. It is said that the Monkey's year will bring many new and unconventional ways of doing things. Has Tony Blair take note....  The motto of this year should be:- "Don't take NO for an answer!"

Dave Evens took his camera out for us in Liverpool's China Town and Patrick Trollope took his out in Southport on Nevil Street and in the to the Grand Palace to cover the celebrations.

Other years of the Monkey are 1932 1944 1956 1968 1980 1992... 2004
