Escaped from Custody

MERSEYSIDE Police are appealing for the help from the public to find Brendon Murray, who escaped from custody on Thursday 3 June. He is aged 23 and escaped from prison service custody around 10:30am on Thursday morning whilst at Liverpool Magistrates Court. The police press office said,"He wounded a prison guard with what is believed to be a knife before heading in the direction of Liverpool city centre. He is medium build, about 5'10" tall and with a shaved head. Brendon Murray is known to frequent the Kirkdale area of Liverpool."

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Richardson said:- "We would ask the public to keep an eye out for this man, however we would ask them not to approach him. Murray could be very dangerous and therefore we'd asked anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact us on the Crimestoppers confidential hotline, 0800 555 111."

NSPCC Set to Motor

A car dealership firm has forged a partnership with a national children’s charity by pledging its financial support.

Nigel Gilmore, Managing Director of Motor Nation, has chosen the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children as the company’s adopted charity.

Nigel has a dealership site at Derby Road, Widnes, said that the NSPCC was an important charity which deserved as much support as possible.
He is putting a scheme in place whereby the company will donate 50 pence to the charity every time a prospective customer registers their details with the dealership with a view to purchasing a car.

NSPCC spokeswoman Janine Miller said:- “The company’s support will enable us to continue to provide much needed services to local children at risk of abuse and neglect. These services include the Young People’s centre based in Warrington and the Liverpool Project which works with children and young people affected by domestic violence."

LOCAL GIRLS TAKE TO THE EXPRESS CATWALK IN NATIONAL MODEL SEARCH

MOST girls dream of becoming a model, but for lucky Kelly Seels and Grazia Rossi, both from Wirral, that dream has got one step closer after they were chosen as two of 15 finalists for the national Veet Express Model Competition.

To celebrate, hair removal expert Veet (formerly known as Immac) was looking for a ‘Veet Girl’, modern and confident girls with lots of personality and, of course, amazing legs.

Local beauties Kelly and Grazia impressed the judges with their confidence and beauty. And after making it to the national final with just 13 other girls from throughout the country, they’ve proved that Liverpool lasses are leading the way in the beauty stakes.

The nationwide search to find a ‘Veet Girl’ began on May 18 and in just two weeks the judges, including representatives from Veet and Verve Select, whittled down the 350 entries to just 15 girls chosen from across the country to take part in the final at London City Airport.

Mark Little, Veet Brand Manager said:- “The Veet Express Model Competition has been a great success, and that really is down to the high level of entries received. It was incredibly difficult to decide on the finalists, what we were looking for was someone who possessed the key characteristics of a typical ‘Veet Girl’ – confidence, fun and femininity. Everyone was fantastic and I’m sure each of them has a great future ahead of them.”
