Search For A Star Heat 2
YES, now Heat Two of this year's three heats, to find out who will go through to the finals of the North West British Resorts' Search for A Star Competition. Sadly, not all the contestants actually turned up for the 25 August heat, though the number of heats has been drastically reduced, This has effectively improved the entertainment for the audience but heightened the tension for the contestants. The result was a nail- biting time for both the contestants and the judges. The talent was extremely high, and of a standard that we have now become used to at these events. This heat witnessed eleven contestants, battling it out to get a chance to represent the North West in what is now the most prestigious talent contest of its type in the UK, if not Europe. This week's winners were:-
1st Place:- Steven Malden
2nd Place:- Amanda & Katy
3rd Place:- Paula Dickinson
The other contestants (see below ) did a fantastic job of entertaining the audience and it is a shame that they could not all go through to the next round, or we should say the North West Final. The week's rising star was a young lad called Paul Cowperthwaite and the Guest Act was Dalia.
