RAF's St Margaret CE High School Team are through to footie finals!
ALL 8 teams played strong games
over the two day knock-out Held on Wednesday and Thursday of this
week. Those who have made it through to the finals will be fighting
for the cup and champions title on Tuesday 9 May 2006 at West
Bromwich Albion Football Club.
Boys semi
finals. Impington College (Norwich) Vs Goffs School (Hertfordshire)
Impington 3 Goffs 1
Wednesday 15 March - The match was tied
one all at the end of play, with both sides playing a strong game,
so extra time was played (20 minutes each way) Impington rose to the
challenge and scored twice, leaving Goffs trailing behind.
Verdin Technology College (Cheshire) Vs St
Margaret CE High School (Merseyside)
Verdin 0 St Margaret 1
St Margaret played a strong game and
managed to defend against Verdins goal attempts leaving the score a
close 1-0
Girls semi finals Meadowhead School
(Sheffield) Vs Church Stretton School (Shropshire)
Meadowhead 4 Church
Stretton 1
Thursday 16 March 06 - Meadowhead managed to score within the first
five minutes of the game, they managed to stay ahead until half
time. Church Stretton managed to equalise but Meadowhead came back
with a vengeance scoring three more goals. Leaving the score at 4-1
Tavistock
College (Devon) Vs Aylsham High School (Cambridge)
Tavistock 3 Aylsham 2
This was the most closely fought match
of the semis, Aylsham had plenty of goal opportunities but
Tavistocks keeper managed to battle the majority off. Tensions ran
high but Tavistock managed to keep their cool and remain ahead at
all times managing three goals to Aylsham's 2.
