'FAME'
Search For A Star 2006 THE FINAL!

YES, the
winner was announced on Thursday night after a high tension and
extremely long final, with 17 hopeful stars taking to the stage, all
aged 16 to 30. The whole night did not finish until 12:30am and to
think it started at 7:00pm! I have to say that this year’s Fame
Final was not only entertaining, but one of the best I have ever
seen! It all started with the 'Fame' 16-30's 2005 winner,
Michael Ryder, playing two songs and setting the mood for what was
to become a very closely fought competition. Ending the night was
Senior Fame, called, 'Fame at Last' 2005 winner Louise Esden. It was so
close that no one knew just what would happen and I would not have
liked to have judged it. If any of the acts on that night do not go
on to become big acts in the music industry or theatre industry, I
will be shocked. All had stunning vocal ranges and stage presence.
Well done, to all of you. You have been in what I would regard as
one of the hardest finals I have ever seen and I have seen quite a
few. Even if you did not win, you all are a credit to yourselves and
to your supporters who came to cheer you on.
