Good Friday races 2006 in Victoria Park, Southport

BLUE skies and warm sunshine greeted the competitors for the
annual road races in Victoria Park Southport. More than 600 runners
took part in the event organized by Southport & Waterloo Athletic
Club. The 3k fun run was won by Jake Healy from St Helens
running club in a time of 10mins 11secs. First home in the
Ladies 4 mile race was Louise Gardner from Lancaster & Morecambe
Athletic club who finished 10 seconds ahead of 2nd place. Rob
Berry from Southport & Waterloo A.C. finished first, comfortably
40secs ahead of his nearest rival.
