Again not the most original film on the
block, but
this one scores highly! This film is
better than Monsters Inc. and has a lot more
comic moments in than Toy Story! The film is an
arctic variation on Jungle Book, set in the Ice Age.
It begin with a slightly offbeat, comic book,
tangental subplot about a zany Squirrel
who is guarding a nut.... This is a very surreal,
but loveable film, well worth the wait since last
year when the adverts started to come out. The
real plot is set during the Ice Age, has three
main characters, a saber tooth
tiger, a sloth, and a woolly mammoth who find a lost human infant, and they try to return him to his tribe.
This is only because the sloth kept badgering them
into it and asking if he could keep it. I have
to say yet again... Watch out for the
disasters caused by the Squirrel. You may
need restraints at times as its Mr. Bean acts of
sheer stupidity capture the audience, just getting funnier as it goes on. I think
he might get a film of its own! This film
appears to have appeal across the whole age range,
with pensioners laughing as heartily as the
youngsters. Not the most memorable film maybe
but good wholesome family entertainment.
Five out of Five
for this nice looking picture. I have to say
that this could become a cult classic.
