HAS
YOUR BUS DRIVER GOT THE ‘X FACTOR’?
DEREK Bowes,
commercial manager of Arriva North West and Wales, wants your
nominations for local bus drivers.
If you believe your bus driver has that little bit extra when it
comes to offering great service then bus company Arriva North West
and Wales is looking for your vote. Following huge success
last year, August sees Arriva re-launch the competition for its
drivers in Liverpool – Bus Driver X Factor – which aims to find the
best driver as nominated and voted for by Arriva customers.
Derek Bowes, commercial manager of Arriva North West and Wales
said:- “Our drivers are on the frontline when it comes to
meeting the public and we know that many of them are always prepared
to go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. We
want customers to tell us which drivers they feel should be included
in the Arriva Bus Driver X Factor competition. Whether it’s because
their driver is always smiling and friendly or because he or she is
always prepared to help people getting on and off the bus, let us
know which driver you think has the X Factor.”
Every suggestion counts, as the drivers from Liverpool who receive
the most nominations will automatically be entered into the North
West and Wales final. This will see the drivers go head-to-head as
the competition is put to the public vote to decide the winner. The winner in North West and Wales will be crowned as the Bus Driver
X Factor winner and will win a trophy and cash prize.
If you would like to vote for an Arriva bus driver call the Bus
Driver X Factor hotline on 0845 270 1660 or email your nomination to
xfactor@arriva.co.uk by Sunday, 9 September 2007. |
LIVERPOOL TARGETED BY FILMMAKERS LOOKING FOR BRITAIN’S BIGGEST
BINGER
NEWCASTLE-based documentary
company, Yipp Films, has launched a search for Britain’s biggest
party animal for a documentary for broadcast on mainstream
television. They are targeting Liverpool because of its reputation
as a binge-drinker’s paradise.
The latest figures published by Liverpool John Moores university’s
Centre for Public Health show that Liverpool is among the top three
binge-drinking towns, coming only behind Newcastle, with more than
27% admitting a drinking spree at least once a week.
The documentary-makers are scouring the UK to find the people who
claim to have the wildest weekends and who can demonstrate just how
much partying they typically get through in the space of 2 days.
They’re focusing their quest on Liverpool and want to hear from
Scouse men and women who live for the weekend and are proud of their
partying stamina. The documentary will be the first to
chronicle a whole weekend in the life of a committed binger.
Assistant Producer Kathryn Tregidgo says:- “If you can drink
your mates under the table, regularly don’t see your bed from Friday
night to Sunday morning, and think you’re in the running to be
Britain’s biggest party animal, Yipp Films would like to hear from
you.”
For more information, with no obligation to take part in the
programme, call Kathryn on 020 7749 3147 or by
