Enjoy a grrr-eat day out at PDSA’s Fun Dog show!
PDSA is
inviting local dog lovers to come along to its fifth annual Fun Dog
Show at Arrowe Park, Wirral. For the 1st year ever the show will
take place over 2 days, 1 Saturday September and 2 Sunday 2007 September, with
competing canines raising money for pets in need of vets!
The show is a grrr-eat family day out and has something for
everyone, including a sponsored dog walk around the park, a Summer
Fair, children’s games such as ‘beat the goalie’, trade
stands and stalls selling PDSA goods and refreshments.
The Dog Show
gives proud owners the opportunity to show off their four-legged
friends in a range of classes, such as cutest puppy, most obedient,
‘waggiest’ tail and of course, best in show! Registration
begins at 11am and judging will take place from 1pm.
Nikki Andrews, PDSA Events Officer, says:- “PDSA’s Fun Dog
show in Arrowe Park has something to keep every member of the family
happy – especially the dog! So, why not bring the family down for a
‘grrr-eat’ day out and help us raise vital funds to treat the
sick and injured pets of local people in need.”
On Saturday 1 September the show will also host regional heats for
the national Scruffts Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year competition.
Classes include, Handsome Crossbreed Dog, Prettiest Crossbreed
Bitch, Child’s Best Friend and Golden Oldie.
The first place winners
will then be eligible to enter the national Grand Final held at
Discover Dogs on Sunday, 11 November, in London.
Funds raised at the dog show will help provide free veterinary
treatment in the local area, where Everton and Huyton PDSA PetAid
hospitals care for the sick and injured pets of people in need.
