Musicfinity Launch Site to Help Bands Promote Their Music
MUSICFINITY is
the A+R site of Broeknrule Records but rather than just being a site
for the label to use to find up and coming talent, the website is
being developed to help bands do everything they need to promote
themselves efficiently. Through links with labels, promoters, venues
and media companies, the website is developing into a resource that
any part of the industry can use and also an invaluable tool for
networking and promotion.
Since its birth in February 2007, 1000 bands have signed up and
already, many have been invited to play at shows and awards around
the country. It has had showcases featured on satellite TV, given
bands the opportunity to play in front 5 figure crowds and helped
others increase their fan bases. Still in development, the site is
only 20% completed with new features about to be launched every
month that will not only benefit bands but anyone who is in the
music industry or a music lover.
Not just operating in the digital realm,
Musicfinity
is launching a tour in February that will cover the whole of the UK
and will ask music fans who they want to see at venues. "Gone
are the days when we choose all the acts to put on a tour, its time
for the people that listen to the music to choose.
Anyone that
wants too can check out bands profiles on the site and vote for them
to play. Its the peoples tour and everyone will be able to earn
money from it.
Anyone can
become a promoter, anyone can choose bands, anyone can make it
happen!"
Freshfields Leonard Cheshire Home Jazz Night
THE rotten
weather has caused a lot of upset this summer, including raining off
our fundraising Jazz Night in July. We're delighted that The
Merseysippi Jazz Band will play here at Freshfields Leonard Cheshire
Home, at 7.30pm on 7 September 2007 instead.
We'll honour the
tickets you've held since July and you can buy more from Pritchards
bookshop in Formby. Adults £8, concs. £7 at the gate, or £1 off
advance sales.
The days are shorter
now so wrap up warm, bring a folding chair, and picnic if you wish,
from 6.30pm.
There'll be a bar and a barbecue to sustain you, as well as some
great, great Jazz! |
