that Sons of Mod, might also play, but it is yet to be confirmed.

Shooting incident - Gresham Street, L7
MERSEYSIDE
Police are appealing for information following a shooting incident
on Gresham Street, Kensington on Saturday, 5 January 2008, in which
a man suffered an injury to his leg.
At approximately 9pm, police responded to reports of a shooting
incident at an address there.
It's believed that a
number of men forced their way into the house and shot the occupant,
a 21 year old local man.
It's thought the offenders then made off in a white transit van,
which had been parked up by bollards on Gresham Street, in the
direction of Edge Lane.
The victim was taken to hospital where he has been treated for his
injury, which is not life threatening.
Investigations are ongoing and police believe this to be a targeted
attack, though the motive for it is not yet clear.
Anyone who may have seen the men or the vehicle in the area around
the time of the incident and anyone with information in relation to
it are asked to contact the Merseyside Police Guncrime hotline on
0800 458 1211, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
House burglaries in
Seaforth warning
MERSEYSIDE Police are advising residents in the Seaforth area,
of Merseyside, to be vigilant following a large number of recent
house burglaries.
The
burglaries are occurring during the evening and overnight and often
involve the forcing of the rear ground floor windows.
The
offenders are reported to have take small electrical items and cash
from the houses.
Extra patrols have now been deployed in to the area.
Inspector Andy Williams from Bootle neighbourhood said:- "My
officers have been visiting addresses in the area and providing
crime prevention advice.
Any suspicious circumstances should be reported to the police."
Advice on preventing
burglaries
-
Lock all windows and doors and remove the
keys to a safe place when you leave the house, even if just for
a few minutes.
-
If you are at the back of the house or in
the garden always ensure the windows and doors at the front of
the house are locked. Remember, a thief can get through the
smallest window and might often try to open a door if there
seems to be no-one around.
-
Do not leave valuables in sight or within
reach of any open windows.
-
Lock all downstairs windows at night.
-
Put away and secure all gardening
equipment after use.
-
Ensure both locks and hinges on shed and
garage doors are working properly and do not need repairing
(ensure screws on latches and hinges cannot be undone easily
from the outside).
-
Ensure you know what make and model your
gardening tools are for identification purposes in the event
that they are stolen.
-
Security mark all
your home and garden equipment with full postcode using a UV
marker pen or permanent marker.
If you know any
information that can help the Police, then please contact
Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. |
