Bikers Rock On At Pontins
THE charity
fund raising event held at Ainsdale Pontins was a massive success.
The nights festivities brought together local, regional national and
international bikers all with one think in mind... to raise cash for
charity and have a fantastic, safe and fun time.... The event was
organised by Charlie from the Southport Original Cruisers who had
hired the main hall and bar areas at the holiday complex for a huge
party with not one, but four bands taking to the stage, a Face
Painter, lots of bike trade stalls, a disco and Biker Mum! And
yes, some of the bikers did stop for the rugby... Performing on the
night of the 23 February 2008 was Skinny Lizard, Enemy of Though,
Neon Maiden and AC/DC tribute band DC/70.
Charlie said:-
"I would like to thank all the Original Cruisers for helping us to
put this show together and also a big I want to say a very big thank
you to the bands and all the other people who have taken part. It
was well supported by all the bikers and as soon as we have a final
total for the amount raised, we will let you know. We had a
hugely entertaining night. I would also like to point out the
amazing support of the Pontins staff gave to us, with out them
our event could never have happened. Thank you for helping us
put on, what has to be the best event we have had in years!"
