DANCING ON ICE GETS READY TO SKATE INTO LIVERPOOL!
AFTER stunning
audiences with two perfect scores in the ITV1 series final, newly
crowned Dancing on Ice champion Suzanne Shaw will perform alongside
skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean when the tour
skates into the Echo Arena Liverpool on 2 May 2008 to 5 May 2008.
Runners-up Chris Fountain and Zaraah Abrahams are also in the
line-up and will be joined by fellow contestants Gareth Gates and
Linda Lusardi, along with last year’s winner, Kyran Bracken, actress
Clare Buckfield, football legend David Seaman and
Bonnie Langford.
All of the celebrities will be trained and choreographed by mentors
Torvill & Dean (who will perform several of their favourite routines
at each show). Each night the TV Judges will be rink-side to
critique their performances. Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins
will lead the panel, which includes Karen Barber, Jason Gardiner and
Nicky Slater. There will also be a guest judge at every show.
Andi Peters will return as compere of the live show.
The stunning pro-skaters will also join their partners on the ice
tour. From the current series, Fred Palascak and Frankie Poultney,
will partner Zaraah Abrahams and Chris Fountain respectively. Series
two pro-champion Melanie Lambert and runner-up Andrei Lipanov will
partner Kyran Bracken and Clare Buckfield. Dan Whiston returns with
his phenomenal stunts, while pro-skater Pavel Aubrecht makes his
first Dancing on Ice appearance alongside Bonnie Langford. Kristina
Lenko returns to partner David Seaman and Maria Filippov, Matt Evers
and Susie Lipanova conclude the line-up.
At each performance the Arena audiences will have a chance to vote
for their favourite skating celebrity. Replicating the format of the
ITV1 show, they will be able to use their mobile phones to text vote
for their favourite dancing couple.
The audience votes
will then be added to the scores from the Judges to decide the
winner.
Once the votes have
been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner
to perform a magical finale. All profits from text voting will go to
charity.
* Please note that Suzanne
Shaw will not perform on Fridays due to a long-standing commitment
and Chris Fountain will only perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday due
to Hollyoaks filming commitments.

HANDBAGS and PURSES
WHEN attending coffee mornings on Church
premises or visiting cafes and restaurants, ladies do tend to put
their handbags on the floor.
Sometimes if ladies are helping in the kitchen at a Church or
Charity event, handbags are put out of the way on a window sill or a
working surface.
This does present an ideal opportunity for a sneak thief to enter
the premises sometimes in the guise of a member of the public
attending the function, but the real reason for their presence is to
steal purses or handbags that have been left unattended.
An incident happened recently at a Church coffee morning in
Southport when a man asked for water to take medication.
He made his way to the kitchen and stole
a handbag from one of the helpers. He was later prevented from
stealing a second handbag.
To try and avoid such an incident from happening at any coffee
mornings held in the future.
Ladies please keep
your handbag where you can see it. If you are a helper it may be an
idea to have all handbags locked safely away before the event
begins.
Once the customers arrive you want to enjoy the event and if your
handbag is safely locked away, you are able to concentrate on
serving the coffee and can move freely around the premises and talk
to your friends, in the knowledge that your handbag is safely locked
away.
INSECURE VEHICLES
IN the North East area of the
Southport, there
are still a number of vehicles left insecure and with articles on
display.
Sergeant Hilton has
asked for a further reminder to be sent out by the Ringmaster system
to remind residents to ensure their vehicle is locked when it is
parked even if it is in a garage.
The most recent of incidents are in the Melling Road area of the
town.
Even with a central locking system it is an idea to double check
that the doors are locked before leaving the vehicle unattended.
