Says Joanne Jennings chief executive at Liverpool ONE:-
“Liverpool ONE is so excited about the search for Liverpool’s most
stylish worker. We’ve known for a long time that the city is a trend
setter and this has been proven by the fantastic response we have
received from big name brands wanting to be a part of Liverpool ONE.
Liverpool ONE represents the future for the city and the fashion
industry clearly wants to be a part of it which is why we are now
launching the ‘Are you the Liverpool ONE’ search!’.
Not only will the winner of ‘Are you the Liverpool ONE?’ be a guest
at Liverpool ONE’s launch event on 29 May 2008, but will also
receive a fabulous £1,000 shopping spree courtesy of Debenhams and
John Lewis, enough to keep you stylish for the rest of the year!" |
New
sign starts new partnership
WHEN Paymentshield, whose offices
are at Kew Industrial Estate, approached the North West Regional
Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport Hospital offering to raise money
for a specific project, we took the opportunity to fulfil a project
which had it's roots in an idea over two years ago.
Dr Clive Glass, Clinical Director at the Spinal Injuries Centre
explained:- "Back in 2005 we decided we wanted a logo which
reflected what we did and where we are. One of our ex-patients Ryan
Forshaw was asked to come up with a design and in September 2005
Ryan's design was finally agreed. The star in the centre of the
wheel is over Southport, the fact that we support people from a lot
of places around the Country is represented by the UK map and the
figure in the chair shows a lot of movement and hope.
Having got the design we wanted to use it, and while it is on all
the literature about the Centre, we really wanted to put it on a
sign by our main entrance. We were absolutely delighted when
Paymentshield approached us saying the wanted to adopt us as one of
their local charities. It has meant that we are finally able to
design a sign that truly reflects the support we give to people with
spinal cord injury across the North West, proud that the logo
designed by our ex-patient Ryan Forshaw is now publicly displayed,
and grateful for the kind donation from Paymentshield staff who made
it happen."
Jacqueline Barlow, Relationship Manager at Paymentshield added:-
"As one of Southport's leading employers we want to reach out
positively into the community. The Spinal Injuries Centre is one of
Southport's longest established specialist facilities and we can see
no better reason to join forces.
Our staff had a great day dressing down at work to raise funds to
purchase the entrance sign needed by the unit, and we are happy to
have officially presented the sign. We look forward to many more
joint ventures in the future."
