The
Dragon met St George in Southport
SWORDS where crossed on 23 April
2008, St George's Day as the Southport Swords did battle with the
Dragon at three venues in Southport, The Guest House, Windmill Inn
and the Scarisbrick Hotel. It wasn't just the Southport Swords who
came out on the town, but they were also joined by The Agarmeles for
an Annual Morris Dancer meeting. We caught up with them at the
Windmill Inn and snapped a few shots...

Southport Scouts - St
George's Day Parade 2008...
THE annual St
George's Day Parade was held in Southport by Southport's
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The parade took place on 27 April,
not the 23 April 2008, because the actual day was on a school day.
The parade was
one of the biggest in resent years, stretching the full length of
Neville Street as it snacked through the town, with two marching brass bands
playing as the kids marched.
