Family Funday A Big Hit!
THE Formby
Free Family Funday was held on Saturday, 16 August 2008, in Duke
Street Park. The event was organised by Churches Together, and
it was a huge success. All the activities, as well as the food
and drink, were FREE! On offer was a large range of activities
for children, from learning to play bowls, to tennis coaching,
through to making bird boxes and jewellery. Also classic games
like Wet Sponge Throwing and face painting were on offer. Other
interesting things included train and donkey rides with even a ride
in a Viking Longship! Entertainment came via Tim Longton’s Dog and
Duck Display, music by Y-Kids Singalong and live bands. We will let
the photos tell the rest of the tale.
