The
lads are back again playing with a yet another new name
THIS is the
third time I have seen Paul Mullen and Rick Burroughs in action.
Again playing at the Latin Lounge on Friday, 15 August 2008, this
duo packed out the venue. They quickly set the place rocking to the
Mersey Beat sounds and other tunes of that era. They also managed to
cover tunes from acts like the Rolling Stones, The Doors, Paul
Weller and Jimi Hendrix. On this occasion the two were going by the
name, The Pseudonyms. Be warned though. They are changing their
names again! Last time I said they needed a female vocalist, well,
this time they had a band backing them! Ok, they were still singing,
mainly on their own, and they sounded far better with a full band
behind them. One thing I can say is that this great duo are
improving each time I hear them, and what is more, they have already
reached a very high standard. They told me that they are now looking
for a female singer as well... So if they keep this up, they will
truly be the next hot thing in town... These are a few snaps which
we shot off on the night...
