Nine years ago an aspiring documentary Director came to her
first Southport Weekender. Although no stranger to the club
scene and rave era, she was surprised and inspired to find
people of all colours and ages mixing as effortlessly as the
different genres of music they celebrated.
With unrestricted access to the event she spent six years
interviewing punters, dj's and international artists. They
all told the same story. For six days every year, music is
everything, differences are left at the gate, and within
this unique community; urban music thrives. 'One Nation
Under A Groove' is the feature length documentary her
company went on to produce and the 'Directors Cut'
