Southport Weekender Nov 2008, PART 2

IT was a slow start to the Weekender this year as many were held up on the way to the event, on the motorway and on other roads because of flooding and also accidents which impended their travel. Even some of the DJ’s who had early sets were delayed! This made Friday night a lot quieter than normal, but the build up over the night meant a steady flow of people on the dance floor for much of the night. What was fantastic to see was the fact that many old faces had come back to the event. With MTV having its parties in the area that week, many expected some big names might drop in, and mingle with the audience. We can say a few did, but they were extremely camera shy, hence no photos. Sadly, no very big names came this year, despite plans by one very well known star, who was disappointed to have missed it and she now plans to come now in May. Sorry, we cannot say who, but the lads and lasses who attended the Weekender will know who it is! If this happens, May 2009 will be even more amazing than normal! We were going to ramble on about this event, but we have decided to round it up in just three sentences and let the photos say the rest…. Our sentences are:- "A fantastic and amazing musical feast for all who came yet again! It was quite simply an event not to be missed! Well worth attending and we cannot wait for May 2009."
