THIS year has been amazing for sporting achievements for a hole range sportsman or woman and some of this years top sports personalities where in the City.  On Sunday 14 December 2008 the prestigious BBC's 'Sports Personality of the Year' awards was held in the Liverpool Echo Arena. This was the 36th annual awards ceremony and the first time it has been held in Liverpool.   The night was an amazing and showed Liverpool in an extremely good light as well.  This was a fantastic end to the major events for European Capital of Culture.  These a a few snaps taken by our photographer Ian at the event.

THE Hollyoaks actor Garnon Davies, who plays Elliot in the show, was out at Circo in Liverpool's Albert Dock with fellow co-stars celebrating his 26th birthday last week...

Garnon is the bloke with the scarf around his neck and pictured with a load of girls, well that's his family.
