increased in the Kirkdale area, after complaints from residents

Neighbourhood Inspector Gary O'Rouke said:- "This is a
significant seizure, that has taken a large amount of drugs off the
streets of Merseyside. It is an excellent example of the results
that can be achieved when we work closely with the local community.

SECURITY TIPS WHEN
GARDENING
AT last Spring
seems to be here and we are all keen to get in the garden and
prepare for the long summer days. Opportunist burglars also
enjoy seeing the gardeners, because they know that some people will
be relaxing their security. In the warmer weather we tend to leave
windows and doors open when we are outside. Please take extra
precautions The following suggestions may help:-
► Always lock all the doors to the house that are out of your sight.
► Ensure all ground floor windows are closed in the areas of the
house, again out of your sight
► If you are thinking of protecting access to your property there is
a list of "burglar unfriendly plants" available from
Home Watch Coordinators. Your local garden centre would also be able
to give you advice.
► Leaving tools out on show when you go in for a well earned cup of
tea is not a good idea. They may be stolen or used as tools to
commit a crime.
► After a day in the garden make sure all garden tools are put
safely in your shed or garage.
► Secure your outhouse. You wouldn't leave your house door unlocked
overnight, ensure the building is locked.
