- I Went down to see some of
the Schools performing for the public at Formby
point/Lifeboat road and was suitable impressed.
Although there were a couple of
hitches from the sound and the weather, there were still plenty
of people about to watch the schools perform.
Redgate Primary School for
example did a Ungandan contempory dance routine, which involved
the telling of a story of loss and rebirth, new lands discovered
that allowed the tribe to live on, all done obviously to Ugandan
style music, although they managed to squeeze the Lion
King music in there for effect, the drums on that piece of music
was really powerful and moving.
All the schools I heard were
very good, and leaves me with hope for the future of our
entertainments industry. if you get a chance go o down to
the festival, it's on Lifeboat road in Formby, and is on for the
rest of this week including Saturday.
