Go:Audio UK tour
FOLLOWING their third successive
sold out UK tour, Go:Audio are pleased to announce their biggest
tour to date, ending with a show at Shepherds Bush Empire on 17
October 2009.
This year has seen Go:Audio rise to a level unrivalled by any other
unsigned band. Their live popularity has grown rapidly across the UK
and the pop rockers are consistently praised and mobbed by the fans
wherever they go.
Go:Audio were nominated for Best Newcomers at the Kerrang! Awards
2008, and now look forward to self - releasing their debut album
‘Made Up Stories’ on 11 May 2009, which was written, recorded
and produced by the band themselves. Their most recent single
‘Drive To The City’ released on 20 April 2009, entered the
Myspace MTV Chart at Number One and still remains at Number Three.
"Being on the road is the part we all love the most and with the
increased size of the venues this time around, it will be pretty
special. Its the first time we’ll be touring when our album is in
the shops, so should make for some awesome shows with everyone
singing along even more than before! We will also be playing some
new material which no-one has heard yet. So this tour is going to be
the best yet." James Matthews

Walk In The Woods
FAMILIES across Liverpool have
the chance to get fit and explore nature this spring thanks to a
festival of guided woodland walks coming to the city throughout May
2009. ’Walk in the Woods month in The Mersey Forest’
features a range of free local countryside walks suitable for
all ages and fitness levels, from family health walks to
nature-spotting bluebell rambles.
The walks festival in Liverpool is part
of the Tree Council’s national ‘Walk in the Woods’
month, with thousands of people due to take part in more than a
hundred guided walks taking place across the country. The local
events programme has been coordinated by The Mersey Forest, the
growing network of woodlands and green spaces being developed across
Merseyside and North Cheshire. Paul Nolan, Director of The
Mersey Forest, said:- “Walk in the Woods month is a great
chance for people to get some fresh air and enjoy nature at one of
the most beautiful times of the year. There’s lots going on all over
Merseyside, so we’d encourage everyone to take a look at what’s on
and get involved.”
The full programme of walks is available
online or by calling:- 01925
816217, with the events in Liverpool organised by the City Council
as part of the city’s Year of the Environment 2009 and by the
National Wildflower Centre. As well as these guided walks
taking place in May, nature lovers can explore the local area at
their leisure all summer long thanks to free maps and walk direction
packs available from another local
website. As well as walking
routes, you can also find about the best places for cycling and
horse riding, as well as the lowdown on family events taking place
across the region.
West Lancashire Yacht
club Sailability
DO you have a disability, but
would like to try sailing on the safe waters of the Marine Lake at
Southport? During May, June and July 2009, the West Lancashire Yacht
Club are offering the opportunity for individuals or groups with
disabilities to experience sailing on Wednesday evenings Sailing is
an outdoor activity; the wind does the hard work, so sailing can be
enjoyed by people of all ages, strengths and mobility. People with
limited vision or with learning disabilities usually sail as part of
a crew. On the open water there is space to learn how to handle a
boat, and gain a sense of independence. The taster sessions are an
opportunity for people with disabilities to try sailing and to enjoy
the club’s facilities. A senior instructor will discuss the
individual’s particular needs and aspirations, then it’s out on the
water for the fun part. Groups are small to enable us to provide for
individuals, so booking is essential. Fun, working as a team and the
wind in your hair for free. Please contact Anne Rushton:- 07751
