MENSA ISSUES IQ CHALLENGE IN LIVERPOOL
MENSA is
offering the people of the Liverpool area a chance to find out their
own score and to see if they too can join 23,500 other members of
The High IQ Society.
A supervised IQ test session has been organised on Saturday 11 July
(2.00pm) at The Quaker Meeting House for anyone interested in
finding out their own IQ score for just £15.
To reserve a place on the test you can book online by visiting the
IQ Test section of the Mensa website at

John Stevenage, Chief Executive at Mensa, says that knowing your IQ

APPEAL
FOR WITNESSES - STABBING ON MATHER AVE, ALLERTON
DETECTIVES from Merseyside Police
are appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding a serious
incident that took place on Saturday, 30 May 2009, in Allerton.
A 28 year old man was stabbed during the incident, which occurred on Mather Avenue outside the Tesco store. Witnesses may have
noticed a disturbance at 6.50pm on the city centre bound
carriageway, involving 2 cars that had stopped at the traffic
lights.
The 1st car is described as a silver/grey small car that was flying
blue and white Everton flags/ Everton scarf in the rear window. The
2nd car was behind the 1st car at the lights and was a blue Renault
Megane convertible with a 57 registration plate.
It is believed that an argument broke out between the occupants of
the 2 cars and men from each car argued in the road. It is believed
a screwdriver and a knife were produced by 2 men from the 1st car
resulting in the male passenger from the 2nd car receiving a single
stab wound to the ribs.
The 2 men from the 1st car are believed to both be white and aged
between 25 and 30 years old. The 1st offender is described as being
around 5ft 8in, of medium build with brown hair. The 2nd man is
described as being about 5ft 8in, of medium/stocky build and was
wearing a white t-shirt.
The victim is a 28 year old white man with dark hair.
A car window on the second car was also smashed, before the
offenders returned to their car and drove away.
