Remembrance Day - Southport

THE annual Remembrance Day took
place on Sunday, 8 November 2009, with acts of remembrance being
held across the Nation and at UK Armed Forces bases throughout the
World. In Southport, as crowds stood silent, the true nature of the
event could be felt. Many servicemen and ex-servicemen, their
families and friends, all gathered, remembered not only those who
had lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars, but also
those in current campaigns. This was a moving service and
demonstrated that we will never forget them.
