LAUNCH OF LIVERPOOL ONE’S BIOFUELS INITIATIVE
A groundbreaking initiative was
unveiled to the press on Thursday, 4 March 2010, at Palm Sugar,
Chavasse Park, Liverpool ONE. The restaurant is just one of many of
the restaurants, within the £1 billion urban, shopping, residential
and leisure development, who will be powering Grosvenor's entire
fleet of estate vehicles. The eco initiative will see waste food
oils from the development restaurants recycled and turned into clean
biodiesel. This is a first for any retail and leisure in the UK and
it is hoped that opportunity of turning waste oils like this in
Liverpool will be picked up by other residential and leisure
developments. The video on
Southport.TV was taken at the
conference/launch of this fantastic project.
