Film review:- The Sum of all Fears

This is one of the most griping films I have seen in a long time.  The tagline, "27,000 Nuclear Weapons. One Is Missing." is very miss leading as I thought it was going to be another Peace Maker or something similar.  This film s action pact, but dose not use alot of special effects to keep you on your feet.  If you liked 24 then this film will soot you just fine. Ok it is not real time like 24, but has all the sub plots and the political sub plots that you don't expect from a film like this.  This is a modern day Doctor Strange Love", but with pout the humor. Ben Affleck plays a very convincing role as a CIA analyst called Jack Ryan.  Hiss mission is to hunts down a group of terrorists who plan to detonate a nuclear device at the Superbowl with the president watching.  DCI William Cabot who is Jack's superior played by Morgan Freeman is all that Jack has to convince President Robert Fowler played by James Cromwell, that the Russians do not want WAR!  Will he succeed, well I will leave it up to you to watch the film....

I have to say this is a phenomenally good film.  Ok not the most original, and does

have some minor flaws, but directed Phil Alden Robinson has taken the novel by Tom Clancy and cast the best cast for the job.  This film deserves my rating 5 out of 5 and I would say that this is the strongest film of the year, that I have seen so far.  Good strong plot, good acting, good use of visual effects, good sub plots that don't dominate, good use of suspense, humor is sneeringly used to brake the tension in places and to keep the flow and over all one of the best films I have seen in the movies yet!
