2010 Ainsdale Show
THE 2010 Ainsdale Show was held
on Saturday, 5 July 2010, by the Ainsdale Horticultural Society.
This show is now one of only a few events to be held on its
traditional showground, the Village Green in Ainsdale. It is now
thought to be one of the oldest events of its type in the North
West. With so many side shows and stands including steam train,
brass bands, gymnastics, arts and craft displays, not forgetting the
main attraction, floral displays, this event still offers a good
range of activities and things to see for all ages. This year was no
exception and for its size this event kept many families, both local
and tourist alike entertained throughout the day. What added to the
show this year was the fact the weather was just as good as the
activities taking place within the arena. This fine weather allowed
people to sit and relax in the hot sun, as the schedule of
entertainment rolled on. Well done to all who took part in this
year’s show.
