FILM REVIEW - "A-TEAM"
THIS week we have a photo giveaway as well, so pay attention! Pity the
fool who does not! Thanks to Southport
Vue Cinema, we got to see this film a few days early, and we are so glad we
did, before it gets over hyped, anyway to the mission.
This is a fantastic action packed
film from start to finish, with all the classic jokes you would
expect to see. One annoying thing is that the actors try at times,
to mimic the voices of the original cast, but you can excuse them
for that. We thought this would be a film that was heading along the
lines of the Duke of Hazard or worse, but no. They kept to the
original ideas and added on to them. They even broke a few rules by
Killing bad guys! So that irritating part of the TV series has been
dropped, but jokes crop up throughout the film which allude to
this... As BA would say:- "Get on with it fool"... so
our synopsis of the film’s plot is simple as we do not want to spoil
it for you.
The film opens in Mexico and shows
how the team formed. This updated film then takes the Unit to Iraq
where they are set up. Tried for the crime they did not commit, the
team set about proving their innocence and clearing their names.
For us, the best part of the film
involves a tank and a fisherman, but we can't say any more than
that. Yep, this is a true no-brainer film, with some good new twists
and turns, but in the main... it is still the A-Team. This is a good
pick-me up film, also with good action.
The 2010 A-Team is a must see for
anyone who remembers to 80's TV series and it has to get 4 out of 5.
New viewers might find it a bit dated in places, but still well
worth watching.
