			Live on the Waterfront
			OVER 6 August
and 8 August 2010, on Liverpool’s waterfront, with Liverpool Samba
Band and Waterfront Rhythms and Funkmonster 6ix Toys on Friday
night, all much appreciated. This was followed by Night time
Spectacular by Voala whose airborne acrobats reached 100 feet above
the fascinated crowd as they enacted an oriental style drama in a
thrilling performance. Also touring the Pier Head were the Granny
Charismas, three ‘ladies’ on large motorised shopping trolleys, who
entertained their spectators with their antics, and two eccentric
‘ice cream’ vendors. Plodding around the area too was a large
Tibetan ‘yak’ from Todmorden, a charming beast!  Saturday was
to be devoted to further dramatic dance performances and another
daring show by Voala. Sunday was dedicated to dance music including
Chinese music and tribute groups including one to Glenn Millar. Life
stays lively here in Liverpool. |
