- FRIDAY 13TH COULD BE LUCKY FOR DOG OWNERS
-
Local dog owners will have somewhere to turn for help when a telephone advice line aiming to solve all their problems
opened on Friday 13th September 2002.
The canine Advice Life Line (C.A.L.L.) is a confidential telephone service run by the people and dogs society, a registered charity aiming to help those with dog related worries find a solution to their problems.
C.A.L.L. does not re-home dogs but instead aims to solve the problems that make owners (and often their
neighbors) find some dogs difficult to live with. Those involved with the service believe this approach helps to reduce the number of dog-related difficulties experienced in many local communities. The service, which already answers 8,000 to 10,000 queries a year in countries across England, Scotland and Whales, is now being extended to Merseyside and room Friday 13th September and the new adviser, Dave, will be available on 0151 284 8460 during daytime and evening hours.
"Often people who buy or adopt a puppy or dog over the summer find but the autumn that things haven't gone as smoothly as they would like, 2 said Kit Le Seller, the scheme's national organiser, dog-related advice. We've dealt with all kinds of problems in the past, and like to think that we can find the answer to any dog related question, however unusual."
Dave who's first name only is realized to preserve his anonymity, has a wide experience of dap ownership and training, and anyone, wither a dog owner or not, is welcome to ring for advice.
|
"Although Dave will generally be able to suggest and answer immediately, where he is notable to do so he will do some research and call back, or refer callers to a reputable local expert," said Kit Le Seller.
"This means that Dave will be delighted to hear from anyone in the area offering a service to dogs, as well as those with problems, so that his collection of information visas complete and up to date as possible."
Anyone wishing to speak to Dave should ring during the daytime or evening hours on 0151 284 8460. The only cost is the telephone call, which is charged to normal rates.
