calling upon those living in and around Southport to share their
photographs of Lancashire’s stunning coastline with the rest of
Britain.
Why not join Isla Negra in Southport between 19 August to 21 August
2011? Visit
the sampling Airstream caravan on the seafront and you’ll be amongst
the first in the UK to enter your photograph into its national
competition to find the most inspiring stretch of the British coast.
Whether you’re a professional photographer or just enjoy getting
snap happy at the weekend, your photograph will help build an
amazing interactive map of the UK and Irish coast which will allow
you to travel along the coastline revisiting the beaches of your
childhood and finding new beauty spots.
Visitors to Southport seafront
will also be able to sample Isla Negra’s range of wines and, by
uploading their photos of the British coastline, will be in with a
chance to win prizes. Next time you’re inspired by Lancashire’s
coast, point, click and upload your photo to our interactive map for
the chance to win prizes including cash and a digital SLR camera.
The overall winning image will feature on the label of thousands of
limited edition bottles of Isla Negra wine on sale up and down the
country!
Isla Negra is named after and inspired by the beautiful seaside town
of Isla Negra in Chile’s Valparaiso region, home of romantic poet
Pablo Neruda.

Superheroes
descend on Spaceport
THERE''S a lot going over 20
August to 21 August 2011, when Superheroes including Batman, Halo’s Masterchief, Ghostbusters and Daleks descend upon Spaceport with two
days of space super hero activity, including storytelling &
animation workshops to help children understand cartoons and unlock
their own creative talents.
Visitors to the Seacombe based attraction will be greeted by our
Imagination Station Commander, receive a superhero spot check and
can be measured with a multi-planetary measuring tape to gauge their
‘superhero status’.
There’ll be Superhero storytelling sessions and cosmic comic
storyboard workshops, where children will see storyboarding frames
from comic strips and be encouraged to write and draw their own
frame – with superhero characters from the Galactic Knights and face
painting too, it should be astrotastic!
Story Telling sessions each hour between 11am to 3pm. Work Shop
Sessions each half hour between 11.30am to 3.30pm. Face Painting
throughout the day from 11.00am to close.

LIVERPOOL Coroner's Officer
are trying to trace the next of kin of a 71 year old man from South
Liverpool. Norman Foster, who lived at Merseypark Nursing Home, died
on Sunday, 14 August 2011 from natural causes. It is believed that
he had lived in South Liverpool for most of his life and that he may
have grown up in the Wellington Road area, in Dingle with a sister
and 2 brothers. Mr Foster's next of kin, or anyone who knows the
whereabouts of his next of kin, is asked to call Liverpool Coroner’s
