at Princes Dock Liverpool Graded Ofsted as "Outstanding"
THE Holyrood Nursery’s at
Peel’s prestigious Princes Dock development has been graded
'Outstanding' in a recent Ofsted report. Defined by Ofsted
to mean:- "this aspect of the provision is of exceptionally
high quality", the nursery, which is located at No.4 Princes
Dock and inspected in early February achieved the highest possible
accolade available across all seventeen areas inspected.
On completion of her visit the inspecting officer described the
service as simply outstanding giving further praise in her report, a
document the nursery team are rightly very proud of.
The report states that:- "Overall the quality of the provision
is Outstanding" and goes on to say:- "The children are
making excellent progress in their learning and development, as the
staff recognise the uniqueness of every child. Activities are
interesting and challenging, which helps the children to make
continual progress. Safeguarding is given utmost priority, ensuring
the children's welfare and happiness. Partnerships with parents and
other providers who deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage promote
exceptional quality of education and care."
Nursery Manager Paula Williams said:- "As a team we all work
incredibly hard to ensure we provide the very best of care, learning
and facilities, we believe our service is outstanding and it is
wonderful to hear that our regulators agree with us. We’ve got a
fabulous team of staff, highly supportive and involved parents and
terrific children who all work together, respect, value and care for
each other. Together we are outstanding."
Liza Marco, Property Manager at Princes Dock said:- "This is
fantastic news for Holyrood Nursery and we are delighted to have
such an excellent childcare provision at Princes Dock, along with
the wide variety of other amenities from coffee shops to gyms. We
are sure that this report will make a very popular nursery even more
desirable to families and we wish Holyrood continued success with
their business."
This is the second piece of good news for Princes Dock with a week,
as the new convenience store opened at the development.
Now the Holyrood team are hoping plenty more sunshine will come
their way on Friday, 30 March 2012, when they will be hosting a
wonderful celebratory event at the nursery.
The festivities will commence at 12noon with a certificate
presentation at 1p.m. and will continue throughout the afternoon
with a buffet lunch, tasty treats, fun activities, entertainment and
lots more.

Princes Dock is a hub of business activity set in 14.5 hectares, and
part of the £6 billion redevelopment scheme of Liverpool waterfront;
Liverpool Waters.

extension also passes through the development.

Lancashire’s
Young people invited to make performance history
A Lancashire theatre searching for young people who want to make history. Metropolis is
a once in a lifetime opportunity for today’s young generation to
take part in an event encompassing dance, music, acting, light
projections and film in front of an audience of around 2,000 people
at Preston’s Guild Hall.
Lancaster's Dukes theatre will be producing the spectacular as part
of Preston Guild 2012. This one-off performance on 7 September 2012
will be like nothing seen in Preston before.
Dukes creative learning director, Guy Christiansen who is the
project director, said:- "We’re really proud that The Dukes
has been given this opportunity to bring together hundreds of young
people to have this amazing experience."
Reflecting Guild year, the event will have 'trade' at its heart as
the young people trade their skills, ideas, ambitions and dreams for
the future.
Led by a professional team from The Dukes, Metropolis will see
Preston’s young people in the driving seat. The project will be
developed over the next few months with schools, youth clubs,
independent young people’s groups and any individuals who want to
take part.
Recruitment is underway for a series of creative taster sessions
taking place at Preston College over the weekends of 14 April to 15
April, 21 April to 22 April and 5 May to 6 May 2012.
During these weekends, more than 600 young people aged 13 to 19 will
work with artists and creative thinkers, exploring and making a
statement about life in Preston in 2012 and what Preston’s young
people have to offer the world, now and in the near future.
Following the taster weekends, 125 young people will be chosen to
work as the production team taking on roles as performers, artists,
musicians, dancers, DJs, MCs, apprentice stage managers, apprentice
designers, apprentice technicians and artistic and pastoral support
workers.
During weekends in July 2012 and August 2012, the team will create
and rehearse the event before it is staged in front of an audience
of friends, family, invited guests and VIPs.

Chartered Accountants recently held its Annual Dinner at Hesketh
Golf Club, in Southport. The Black tie event offered ICAEW members
