'Fleshmob'
strip off to celebrate Ryanair’s 2012 Summer schedule
RYANAIR, the world’s favourite
airline, celebrated the launch of its 2012 Liverpool summer schedule
with the help of students from the Liverpool Institute of Performing
Arts 4:19 Academy.
Surprised City Centre shoppers watched on in disbelief as students
appeared 1 by 1, stripping down to swimwear for a surprise beach
party despite the wintry conditions, then disappeared amongst
shoppers once again.
Ryanair’s Maria Macken said:- "Ryanair
launched its Liverpool summer 2012 schedule with a little help from
our friends from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Despite
the freezing conditions it felt like Spain in the city centre as the
students stripped down to swimwear to create a live beach party to
remind passengers in the North West that Ryanair’s 2012 Liverpool
summer schedule is in full swing with 35 top destinations available
on:-
ryanair.com. To celebrate the launch of our Liverpool
summer schedule, Ryanair is releasing 1 million seats on sale from
just £10.99 for travel across Europe in May & June. These low fares
are now available for booking online until midnight Thursday, 12
April 2012."

Letters to the
Editor:- "Summer Tea Party at Old Christ Church"
"I am writing to beg for
your readers time, help and suggestions. Emma Hayes, representing
the charity Cerebra, and I are organising the Summer Tea Party at
Old Christ Church. The proceeds from this event will be split evenly
between the Churches’ Conservation Trust and Cerebra. Cerebra works
to bring help and support to children suffering from brain injury
and to their families. The tea party is to be held on 16 June 2012
between 2pm and 5pm and will have a Royal theme, reflecting the
Jubilee Year. We aim to attract young children and their parents who
will be encouraged to wear Fancy Dress (the children, not parents!).
There will be a fancy dress competition. We shall be selling cakes
and would welcome donations of cakes and biscuits, however small. We
also hope to sell tea, coffee and soft drinks. We hope to have
sponsorship for the hire of a bouncy castle and will need adult
supervisors for that. I also intend to provide activities suitable
for the age group such as decorating their own crowns, biscuit
decoration, Royal Portrait drawing, face painting and anything else
anyone can think of! As you can imagine, adult help will be very
welcome on the day and I await with hope your responses..."

Liverpool
Anglican Diocese
IT has come to our notice
that the Parish share, payable by all the Church of England
Parishes, in the Liverpool Anglican Diocese, is used for developing
people in ministry. Most importantly, it also enables the Diocese to
reach more people, so that they can hear, and be touched, by the
Church of England's message about the "good news about the
love of Jesus." 80% of the cost of parish ministry is paid
for from the parish share. Almost £94, out of nearly every £100, is
spent supporting and training the Diocese’s clergy, while a further
£2.80 is used to aid in the funding of the next generation of the
church’s leaders. Without it the Church of England says that the
Liverpool diocese would not be able to pay stipends, train clergy
and readers, provide adequate housing and support our work in church
schools nor would it be possible to support our vision of having a
"sustainable, led, transforming Christian presence in every
community." The parishes are very good and generous with
their payments, of their amount, of the Parish Share, but it is a
hard fact that for every 1% of the parish share that the Diocese is
unable to collect, it means a loss of around £70,000; in other
words, that is equal to being unable to fund 2 full time ministers,
with the dire consequences of such a situation having to be tackled
the Church of England has revealed on Merseyside. The Diocese
has an excellent collection rate, for which it is very grateful to
the many parishioners from whom the funds come via part of the
Sunday Church services collections. The Diocese also says that they
recognises that:- "times are tough and that parishes have many
financial pressures to cope with, yet our
congregations continuing generosity, allied with sacrificial giving,
enables so much to be done in building God's kingdom here within our
Diocese. The Diocese would like to thank them for their generosity
to the Diocese of Liverpool."
