Some how, as well as completing those books the Birkenhead author

University. It would not have been a shock if he had a gap putting
out another book, but no, he has put another fantastic book
together. His latest book book called:- "Merseyside War Years:
Then & Now (in colour)" is a fantastic book and for any one
interested in history, it is a must. This new book looks at the
impact World War 2 had on the area. Due to its strategic shipping
ports and factories, Merseyside soon became one of the most targeted
locations for bombing raids during the Second World War. Renowned
local author, Daniel K. Longman has collated a selection of 45 black
and white photos and 45 full colour images which sensitively

Merseyside since those dark days of war and demonstrate both
architectural progress and Britain's resilience in the face of
adversity. Tony Sherratt provides the stunning modern photographs
that compare with the archive images. The book is published in
Hardback and it's ISBN is:- 9780752463520. It is published by The
History Press, who are the UK's largest local and specialist

An Intimate
Evening of Conversation and Music in Unique Surroundings
'THIS Is England'
star Stephen Graham is now confirmed as the latest interviewee in
the renowned Liverpool 'In Conversation' series adding
to an already impressive list of Liverpool talent already taken part
including Paul McGann, Peter Serafinowicz and David Morrissey.
The Kirkby-born star of Martin Scorsese's 'Boardwalk Empire'
and 'Gangs of New York' and blockbuster 'Pirates
of the Caribbean' will talk about his life and career in the
magnificent setting of the Concert Room in Liverpool's St George's
Hall on Saturday, 17 November 2012. The audience will also be
treated to specially created versions of the actor's five favourite
songs, performed live by 5 separate musical acts in what is proving
to be an incredibly popular format with both the audiences and
celebrity guests. "Stephen jumped at the chance to be
interviewed on the stage of the Concert Room. But when we told him
about the musical element he was even more excited! I don't think
we've ever had a guest say yes so quickly to taking part! We were
astonished but delighted of course. Securing Stephen is a huge coup
for us." said Gemma Aldcroft of Little Atom Productions.
Graham actually agreed to take part in the series at the end of
March. However the actor was unable to commit to any date earlier
than November due to his intense filming schedule with Martin
Scorsese in New York over the coming months. "As
Stephen was so enthusiastic, we initially discussed doing the event
at the end of September when the Boardwalk Empire shoot is due to
finish. But we were told that the shoots sometimes over-run so we
thought it would be safer to wait until November when Mr Scorsese
will be well and truly finished with him!" added Little Atom
Productions co-director Karen Podesta. Despite his phenomenal
rise to stardom Graham retains an incredibly close relationship with
the city of his birth. Actor Stephen Graham said:- "I
have always been so very proud of my hometown of Liverpool so I was
overwhelmed and genuinely touched to be asked to take part in the
series, what an incredible honour it is to be asked to sit down and
have a good old chat in the beautiful St George's Hall. I'm just
hoping that more than me Mum and Dad turn up!"
