The Terminator
is a sell out so Flashback films “will be back!”
IT'S been a busy summer for the
Odeon, The Printworks with the new Batman film Dark Knight Rises
still selling out prime time slots in the IMAX and now lots of love
for the original classic film The Terminator, which sold out on a
Monday night as part of the Flashback Film season.
Due the massive success the Flashback Film series are back again
until December with even more cult films.
Who can forget films such as Rocky IV, Breakfast Club and who
wouldn’t like to see Tom Cruise in his prime in Top Gun on the big
screen?
And with Halloween coming up, some iconic scary movies will be
showing such as The Exorcist and American Psycho. Of course there is
something for everyone, even if you don’t like scary movies,
Flashback will also be screening Ghostbuster, The Karate Kid and
many more.
A real 'community' has begun to develop, with many cinema goers
returning to more than one flashback showing. The majority of the
screenings receive applause and sometimes a standing ovation at the
end. Fans also seem to show more respect than in normal box office
films too with disturbance by talking, use of mobile phones etc. at
an all time low.
As Flashback is about bringing back the audiences favourite films
they are welcome to suggests films they’d like to see at the Twitter
account @FlashBackFans.
Tickets are just £4 and this season’s highlights include the classic
Ghostbusters, the scary American Psycho, the iconic The Exorcist and
if you don’t like scary movies then you can always come along and
see a bit of Rocky IV or some hunks from Top Gun.
Centre Director for The Printworks Fred Booth explained that:- “The
cinema has been having sell-out shows every Monday and having to
show the flashback films in two screens at once due to such high
demand for these legendary movies. Manchester is a city of cinema
fans and the Flashback Film Season offers a little bit of something
for everyone at such an affordable price.”
