1st Official Presentation by Southport District Scout Council

ON Sunday, 18 November 2012, a large number of excited Beavers, Cubs and Scouts attended the 1st Official Presentation by Southport District Scout Council of the prestigious Chief Scout Award. This Award is the highest achievement that a Beaver, Cub or Scout can achieve in their time in the section, recognised in Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. All the scouts have to cover different categories of interest, covering Fitness, Community, Creativity, Global, the Outdoors and much more, with a rising level of knowledge and difficulty as the young people move through the sections as they grow up. 5 local Scout Groups were represented with their parents and leaders applauding their achievements - 2nd (Kew) 19th (Emmanuel) 48th (St Peter's) 55th (Birkdale URC) and 62nd (St Cuthberts). They received their Certificate from the District Commissioner, Linda Gresty, and later demolished hot pizza, crisps and drinks provided for them.
