Rockstar Youth urge Merseyside Entrepreneurs to apply for free mentoring and Start-up loan to start/grow their business!

ROCKSTAR Youth, a subsidiary of the Rockstar Group, the UK's leading private mentoring organisation that supports entrepreneurs and businesses launch and growth, is calling for all Merseyside based entrepreneurs and young people aged 18 to 30 with a business idea, to come forward and apply for the government's Youth Start Up Loans Programme.

The Start-up Loans offer between £2,500 and £4,500 and free business training for young people aged between 18 and 30 who have a viable business plan, and the mentoring is delivered by tried and tested, experienced entrepreneurs including Rockstar chairman Oliver Rothschild, internet guru Ian Lancaster and travel/retail mogul Clive Jacobs, who have all built and sold companies for millions of pounds.

David Cameron has backed the student-style loans for young entrepreneurs in an attempt to tackle youth unemployment and facilitate enterprise across the UK and stimulate growth.

As one delivery partner, Rockstar Youth are effectively connecting with young people from all backgrounds with a clear
message that no one is rejected. Rockstar Youth CEO Jonathan Pfahl, himself a 30 year old dynamic entrepreneur, said:- "At Rockstar Youth we have a policy of 'no-rejection,' by this we mean that as long as you meet the criteria, then we are ready to work with you. No matter what stage of the business idea, no matter what type of business, Rockstar Youth want to support as many young people as possible in launch, scalability and success. It's about removing the barriers, simplifying the process and spearheading this movement."

Having already issued numerous loans and supported these young individuals in launching their business, Rockstar expects to
have supported over 500 Young people by March and are well on the way to achieving that target.

Be between 18 and 30 years old?

Live in England?

Have a business idea

Be thinking of starting up a business

Already have started a business

The Start-Up Loans Programme is an £82.5m platform designed to stimulate and support young people set up and build their own businesses and create future employment opportunities.

All mentors are experienced entrepreneurs who have all started businesses, scaled and sold for millions. Their passions are in developing robust and successful businesses and their desire is to support young entrepreneurs taking their first steps in business.

SOUTHPORT'S brand new cultural centre The Atkinson is excited to welcome virtuoso guitarist and composer Eduardo Niebla to the Town during July 2013 and the venue is calling for community choirs from the Sefton area to come forward and share in this special night by performing with the man himself. This concert on Friday, 5 July 2013, will showcase songs from Niebla's eagerly awaited new album, as well as revisiting his back catalogue of hits spanning over four decades and 23 albums. Fusing his gypsy jazz roots with Indian, Arabic, classical and modern jazz flavours; Eduardo creates music that is utterly compelling and unique. Throughout his long career Eduardo has written music for films, documentaries and plays, including for the BBC. He has performed across the globe, from Europe to the Baltic States, the Middle East and South Africa. Boasting sets at the Olympic Games in Greece, Glastonbury, the San Isidro Fiesta Madrid and Jaipur Festival India, Eduardo has amassed a global following of loyal fans, all of whom are utterly entranced by his spellbinding music.  During his eclectic career Eduardo has had the honour of working with many diverse partners, such as sitar genius Nishat Khan, George Michael, Lol Coxhill and Craig David, and now he is looking for local talent to join him and his acclaimed trio of musicians, performing some of his favourite songs. The selected choir(s) will join Eduardo for the following 2 pieces:-

With his last album 'My Gypsy Waltz' gaining widespread critical acclaim, the opportunity to perform some of these instant classics is surely one not to be missed. Always remaining true to his roots, Eduardo believes that integrity is key to an unforgettable performance and The Atkinson is appealing to like-minded choirs, with a similar creative vision.

FIREARM RECOVERED - BANKS

ON Friday, 18 January 2013, Merseyside Police confirmed that a 35 year old woman had been arrested following the discovery of a firearm at a property in Banks. Officers executed a warrant at an address in Westerdale Drive on 18 January 2013. Following a search of the property officers found, what is believed to be, a handgun. A 35 year old woman at the address was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. The item has been recovered for examination and the woman remains in Police custody at this time. DI Paul Unsworth, said:- "Information from the public is vital for us in the fight against gun crime and I would appeal to anyone who has information about where guns are being stored, or who is using them to call Crimestoppers anonymously.
