Happy
Birthday 007! This was not your
normal 007 flick. I can not say if I
like it or hate it as it is close to the book in
some parts, but it has lost that something.
The films story is not broken down into small
sections, like in the rest of them. The
intro is not a clip that is put in for the sake
of a stunt. Sorry to say it but XXX is
very similar in style. 40 years on the
film has still got to use the traditional Bond scenes.
It would not be 007 if it did not, but all the
tradition comes from rip offs of the others 007
films. No sexist and very strikingly silly
remarks..... I do not know if that is a
way of paying homage to the old films or not,
but it just does not work. It succeeds at bringing Bond into the 21st century
by repeating alot of past film ideas and even
the sets remind me of Doctor No, but with the
good old American touch of spies in sci-fi and
very fantasy aspects creeping in.
This looses the feel that it could be
real. No this is just action and a
very week plot. The stunts are as you see
in the trailer, so, not many. They
have turned it into a PR exercise for every gadget
going so you see more of the film on TV than
ever before. All the importent parts
are TV adverts or have been shown on
TV. Sorry but I don't rate it as
high as past 007 films. Brosnan-the man is a superb Bond,
but I only hope this film does not stop hime
from making anouther. Come on, go
back to the old 007...... Please!
For
the reasion it is over hyped, brocken tradition
and killed a good set of films I will give this
3 out of 5. I'm tempted to give it
2, but it is fun to watch...... It jus
aint bond!
