Success for the 1st ever Liverpool Style Night

THE first 'Style Night' was held on Saturday, 2 February 2013, at Liverpool's historic St George's Hall, within the Concert Room. The event was run by 8TEN Events Ltd. and was in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK. Despite the no-shows from 4 of the designers, the event went down well with the modest audience who had attended. This was a very good first attempt and we look forward to seeing more of these shows in the future. In the audience was Desperate Scousewives star Elissa Corrigan, who seemed to have enjoyed the show. The guests were given a goody bag on arrival, filled with miniature beauty products, and were treated to champagne and canapés. BBC Radio Merseyside's Pam Taylor was the host for the night’s activities which also included a raffle, with prizes like Links of London Jewellery, Limited Edition Gold Moet and Chandon, also a Vidal Sassoon hair cut. The show started with Paris.G womenswear collection accompanied by a performance from Wispa feat. Klaire Louise, singing their latest single called:- "She's The One." Next to showcase was LJMU graduate Helena Hussain, followed by women wear and menswear label, Ultimate Fashion. New t-shirt brand Unusual Suspects showcased their new capsule collection accompanied by Manchester's own Kemm who had the crowd captivated by his every move. Luxury women's wear label Isabel Wong followed with a 20 piece 'Goddess Like' collection. Also showing was the women's wear brand 'Umoja', whose collection was accompanied by Liverpool's Lance Gomez. The event was filmed by a new Liverpool based company called Pink Productions and the video can be bought through The Style Night website. Owner of 8TEN Events Ltd. Paris said:- "We raised, through ticket sales, donations and raffle ticket sales, a total of £3,061. I want to thank everyone who was involved in making the night such a success."
