The 96 mile
charity walk by Hillsborough campaigns
LIVERPOOL
FC fans took part in a 96 mile walk to raise funds
for Hillsborough campaigns, also in memory of the 96 who lost
their lives at Hillsborough 24 years ago. This year’s event was
held over 3 days to aid Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and The
Children’s Hospital, Sheffield from the 4 April to 6 April 2013.
It is hoped by those taking part that the run not only works as
a way to remember those lost, but also provides a long lasting
legacy of good. The event motto:-"96 Running for the
hospitals and the kids that they fix; Running for a legacy of
those that didn’t come home: Running for JUSTICE; They’ll never
walk alone!" After the event the group publicly thanked all
who supported them as well as saying:- "We are extremely
grateful to Liverpool FC and Sheffield Wednesday FC for their
support. Without them, this run could not take place." If
you would like to help them to raise funds or want to know more
about the run, then please do visit the group’s website at:-
